Having successfully completed Parts 1,2 and 3 of your driving instructor training, there are a number of opportunities open to you as a qualified ADI driving instructor.

1. Franchise agreement within a DSA approved driving school

SWDIA will advise you which driving schools operate an instructor franchise agreement, how they work, the pitfalls and benifits of the different types of agreements

2. Freelance Driving Instructor business

Many qualified ADI's manage their own client base on a freelance basis. This allows individuals to regulate their client numbers and working hours, but you are totally responsible for the marketing and management of clients and car to ensure that you have regular business and a functional vehicle at all times.

We recommend you research all the above options before commencing your driving instructor training to make sure you have a local business or franchise opportunity available to you, and to find out which method of trading best suits you and your career path.
